Strawberry Cables is out on the 26th October on 7 and download through Moshi Moshi. Full details of the headline UK tour, including a show at Londons The Garage, are below. The band will be supported on the tour by long time collaborator  HYPERLINK "http://www.myspace.com/therealstanleybrinks" Stanley Brinks (aka Andre Herman Dune) plus  HYPERLINK "http://www.myspace.com/freschard" Freschard. Stanleys horn playing also features Strawberry Cables a song which The Wave Pictures frontman David Tattersal describes as very sad and the horn sections of which were influenced by a Lou Reeds New York City Man. Strawberry Cables is taken from current album If You Leave It Alone. This album embraces a very proper, very old fashioned way of recording, cutting back on the electric arrangements of their debut, favouring horns and finger picking and placing a renewed focus on story telling. Bravely mining the lost essence of British Indie, the band were short listed for The Guardians New Album Award for 2008s Instant Coffee Baby and were equally lauded for this years follow up If You Leave It Alone. Their seductively shabby love songs evoking the grubby romance of youth has won them fans amongst public and critics alike, with a sell out gig at Londons ICA proving a highlight in a busy year for the trio.
